Outside pressure from soil and water around this customer's foundation caused the wall to bow inward. The PowerBrace foundation wall repair system was installed to stabilize the wall without further adjustment. The PowerBrace System consists of steel I-beams installed along the wall and connected to the floor joists. These beams provide tension to the wall and prevent further bowing or tilting due to outside pressure. The tension can be adjusted over time to straighten the wall.
55ft of WaterGuard Drainage System was installed along the inside perimeter of the first floor living room. This home was originally built into a hillside without a drainage system in place. Water flowed through the soil through the hill, causing water damage to their living space. That same water flow caused inward pressure on the foundation wall, and was beginning to bow in. The PowerBrace System was installed to stabilize and straighten the hillside foundation wall.

Several of the foundation support piers under this building were sunken into the ground, uneven, and even collapsed. These problems are a result of shifting soil and/or erosion caused by water, which caused the piers to move and sink. Stabilizing the foundation permanently with SmartJack Support Posts was the most effective way to ensure the building's safety.
The foundation walls were cracked and bowing. Foundation stabilization was achieved by installing push piers. Galvanized steel tube sections are hydraulically driven through steel foundation brackets to reach the depths of competent soil. They're locked into place and the weight of your home is transferred from the original, unstable soil, through the piers, to the competent soil or bedrock.
