In Sugarloaf, a homeowner discovered worrying signs of trouble within their basement: a horizontal crack in the concrete block foundation wall. Appreciating the severity, our Customer Care Specialist promptly arranged for a System Design Specialist to perform a thorough home inspection.
Upon inspection, the horizontal crack was diagnosed as a clear indicator of a compromised foundation. Understanding that such issues can evolve into significant structural concerns if left unaddressed, our System Design Specialist recommended the installation of the reliable CarbonArmor® system. This solution would provide the necessary strength and stability to the weakened wall.
Our production team, a skilled group of a foreman and dedicated installers, swiftly initiated the stabilization process. Preparing the area for installation, the team adhered CarbonArmor® carbon fiber-reinforced straps along the affected segment of the basement wall. These straps, many times stronger than steel but subtle in design, ensured the foundation received enhanced support. ArmorLock brackets were meticulously added to reinforce and prevent further inward movement or leaning at the top of the wall.
The installation concluded with the use of a high-strength epoxy resin which not only ensured an enduring bond, but penetrated deeply to partner the carbon fiber with the forces trying to disrupt the home's structure.
