A homeowner in Abbottstown, PA discovered damp, musty odors coming from their crawl space. As a result, he recommended encapsulating the crawl space with CleanSpace vapor barrier. This would prevent mold and mildew from forming by preventing moisture from leaking through the crawl space walls and floor. A high-performance spray foam was also recommended for sealing around the rim joists and openings where outside elements could seep in, as well as drainage matting for adequate water drainage and a SuperSump pump to protect the crawl space against flooding and water intrusion. The foam is dense and provides a complete seal, preventing air and moisture from entering the crawl space, while the drainage matting captures any water that does get in and directs it to the SuperSump pump. The SuperSump then pumps the water out of the crawl space, preventing mold and mildew growth and ensuring a healthier home environment. As a result, this system offers superior protection against water damage and other moisture-related issues.
